About
Hi, I’m Andy, a Field Application Engineer (FAE) at MiTAC with over 15 years of experience in server hardware and firmware support.
My work focuses on server BIOS, BMC, and firmware troubleshooting across enterprise deployments. I serve as the primary technical interface between customers and internal engineering teams, supporting cross-functional projects that span FAE, RD, DQA, Marketing, PM and PMM organizations. My experience includes NPI server projects, firmware validation, Redfish API integration, and cross-regional customer support.
In practice, this often means being the person everyone calls when something doesn’t fit neatly into anyone else’s job description.
This blog started as a personal notebook — a place to record solutions to problems I’ve encountered in the field, so I wouldn’t lose them to memory. Over time, it grew into something I hope is useful to other engineers facing similar challenges.
If you’ve landed here from a search, I hope you found what you were looking for. If something here helped you, that’s enough.
